1 Pastor Roger Fellows The Suffering Servant (part 2) Isaiah 53:4-6 2012 May 13 5.62 MB 32:44 min link
Keywords: Why did God's servant suffer so much? 1. For His own sins? 2. For the sins of others? He did not suffer for His own sin - He was holy and blameless. Jesus did not just bear our punishments but also the sin. Not all the effects of sin are dealt with in this life. Jesus was a substitute - one in place of another - servant in place of another. God cannot ignore sin - we are at peace with God in Jesus. He is wounded, we are healed. Do you know peace with God? Sin is universal. All sins are evil in God's sight. Jesus sufferings are terrible. Jesus sufferings are for us. Jesus suffered to bring healing. Do you trust in God.

5 Pastor Henry Bartsch What We Have Romans 5:1-2 2012 Apr 29 6.32 MB 36:50 min link
Keywords: People are born sinful but God sent Jesus to save sinners from sin. We have peace with God - How will you stand before God in the judgement? Will you stand holy and perfect? Justification is the present standing before the judgement and is irreversible! This peace is assurance of our being God's children and is NOT based on our works but only based on Jesus Christ. Mother Teresa has given 50 years of service but never knew Christ and did not have peace. Grace never stops coming - we live in constant state of grace. Do not live by feelings! All our works are done in grace. God's grace is humbling but also scary - we cannot work to get out of debt. All my guilt is removed by Jesus sacrifice and I cannot add anything to His sacrifice - we can add nothing. What is the glory of God? - having God's light, it is having the honour of God. God love children but the world kills them. He is changing us to love and to be servants. The glory of God reaches backward in time from the judgement into our lives to this day. Baptism points us to Christ and to the gospel. Take our children to Christ to get access to God. Praise God for children.

6 Pastor Ben Short The Easter Fact Mark 16:1-14 2012 Apr 22 4.8 MB 27:57 min link
Keywords: Christ's resurrection is a Biblical fact but rationalism tries to undermine this. Immanuel Kant separated theology from history. Higher criticism teaches that facts and faith cannot co-exist. The Bible speaks about historical facts The women came to anoint Jesus body and they came to the tomb expecting Him to be dead. Every one thought that the coming kingdom of God was all over but one week later all believed!

7 Pastor Ben Short The Easter Faith Luke 24:45-48 2012 Apr 22 4.26 MB 24:49 min link
Keywords: If Christ did not rise from the dead, then who is this Christ? Then He is only an example but not a saviour. Liberal theologians remove 70% of the words of Christ. Easter faith - affects teachings and life of the apostles and makes the church a human creation with no faith. The significance of the facts 2000 years ago lies in the faith. God alone can give understanding of scripture and the Word alone is the source of faith - not feelings. The Old Testament prophesied of Jesus birth, life, sufferings, death and resurrection. A dead Christ is a failure and then there is no forgiveness and no eternal life. Are you one that rejects Him and dies in sin? Repent, turn to Jesus Christ and believe!

8 Pastor Roger Fellows The Suffering Servant - 1. His Desolation Isaiah 52:12-53:3 2012 Apr 15 5.65 MB 32:56 min link
Keywords: The servant of the Lord is introduced several times in the book of Isaiah. The suffering of Christ cannot be separated from His exaltation. The suffering in the Gospels are not described in an emotional way. Sprinkling (with blood, oil or water) was a picture of purification. We should be overwhelmed by His grace and not give excuses for our sin. There are not many who believe. God does not want us to be attracted to Jesus because of His appearance nor character but because of His work of forgiveness. He was despised because He exposes sin. Do you still oppose and reject Him? - turn to Him in repentance!

9 Pastor Roger Fellows I am the Gate John 10:1-10 2012 Apr 15 5.97 MB 34:46 min link
Keywords: I am the door - figurative Christ is the way of salvation. The danger can be physical but is always spiritual - sin. Sin is destructive to relationships with God and man. Sin leads to eternal punishment - ongoing punishment eternally. Christ is the saviour from sin. We need deliverance from the pleasures of sin. Christ promises freedom from sin. Have you entered the gate by faith?. Christ is the only gate. The Bible teaches an exclusive salvation - only through Jesus Christ. Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism are all false religions and do NOT lead to heaven. The holiness of Gospel God demands complete obedience all the time and no one can do this - by grace we are saved - not by works. Do not trust in Jesus AND in your works - only in Jesus for salvation. Christ is the way into the sheep pen. (the church) TV evangelism encourages people to abandon the local church. A true church needs proper ordinances, sacraments and discipline. Do you delight to be in the company of believers and hearing the gospel? Are you in the presence of the saviour?
